Staff Council Scholarships for Appalachian Staff and Dependents

Appalachian State University's Staff Council awards annual scholarships to Appalachian staff and dependents attending institutions of higher education. The Staff Council Scholarship will be awarded to a dependent child of a permanent SPA staff or EPA non-teaching employee.  The student must be enrolled in an institution of higher learning for the 2009-2010 academic year, not necessarily Appalachian State.  Please note that only applicants who are SPA or EPA non-teaching employees or their dependents, not faculty or their dependents are eligible.

The awards are made available from the ASU Staff Council's annual and endowed scholarship funds and are awarded based on academic performance and financial need.  Submission of the "Free Application for Federal Student Aid" (FAFSA) is required.

The application deadline is April 15, 2009.

Dining Cards

For a limited time, Main Street Marketing, has authorized the Staff Council Fund Raising Committee to sell 2009 High Country Dining Cards with over 68 free entres or offers and 11 additional offers for no extra charge!  All monies raised will go for Staff Council Scholarships!

Walk-a-thon

The Staff Council Fundraising Committee is hosting a Walk-a-thon on March 21, 2009 on the Holmes Convocation Center indoor track to raise money for the scholarship fund.  Registration is FREE!  If you would like to participate, please complete the Registration Form and submit it to Krystal Stewart, stewartkl@appstate.edu, by 5 PM on March 13.  Once your registration is complete, you will need to print the Pledge Form and begin collecting your pledges. Pledge forms are due on March 21 when you check-in for the event.

Please join us in raising money to help others further their education.  Your participation will be greatly appreciated.
